Take Action


Bnai Darfur relies on volunteers to support their work helping refugees adjust to a new life in Israel.


Volunteers work with Bnai Darfur staff members to:


Tutor and teach small groups of refugees in basic English and Hebrew


Help refugees create C.V.s and prepare for job interviews


Assist Bnai Darfur in planning and implementing community events and educational activities.


Assist refugees in interactions with various agencies


Provide basic office support


Assist in fundraising


Create written material such as newsletters and annual reports and work with the media.


‘Adopt’ refugee families or individuals


Volunteer your professional expertise.  We are seeking lawyers, teachers, graphic designers, professional translators and editors, computer experts, mental health workers and more.


We look for volunteers with:


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


Flexibility, patience and the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment


The ability to work well in a team as well as independently


Helpful, but not essential:


Prior experience working with refugees or migrants


Fluency in relevant languages
